Battling their way to the top
The Tahoe Icemen are in first place after battling their way to the top last weekend in a three game sweep against the Bellingham Blazers. In game 2, It was a dramatic, frenzied, battle, as Iceman, the former Tahoe Grizzly – Jackson Oleson sent a dazzling pass to Phil Heiss then to Daniel Moroz for a huge goal to tie it up with just 4.7 seconds left. Then in double overtime, Oleson again opened a 2 on 1 break with a touch pass to league star Paul Frys who scored the dramatic game winner that electrified the arena.
Coming up this weekend Oct 27, 28 ,29, 2017 the Icemen host the Seattle Totems for some must see Tahoe hockey. Locals Oleson, Lucas Demsar, and Gabel Longshore combined with their national and international teammates attempt to hold their first place position. The puck drops at 7:00 pm Friday & Saturday and 2:30 on Sunday.
